How many miles on your stock motor/trans?

Well, I bought her in '08 w/55k. She's an '04 built in July of '03. Non heritage. Put a hard 57k on her since. At 114k the tranny went out. I'm sure that has something to do with the old lead foot. But after the spark plug change at 110k the motor is still purring like a puma. Cleaned the MAF and TB. Of course air filters and fuel filter(that was nasty). Run the occasional can of seafoam through the gas tank. Looking for another 100k+. I'm confident she'll take it in stride.

That's funny, everyone I know around here has zero issues with tranny's. My 05 had 180k miles on it and it shifted fine before I got rid of it. My 07 has 120k and seems to be fine, knock on wood. I wonder what the deal is??

I hear ya. My 06 has 194,000 miles on original engine and tranny. Truck runs and shifts as good as the day I drove her off the lot. Proper maintenance and driving habits is key!

Everyone around here has zero issues? That's hilarious. Read a couple of posts up and you'll find someone that last his tranny at 114k and another guy a few posts earlier at 120k. And let me guess you're engine doesn't make tapping sounds and your windows haven't dropped in your doors. You had not one but too totally trouble free f150s. What can I say you must have an exceptional ride.

why of course all of us that have had our trannies rebuilt before you don't know how to maintain or drive our trucks and heck we don't even know how to roll our windows up and down properly. Oh I see you have a lot of highway miles on your truck, those can be exceptionally tough at a truck but hey since you're such a great driver and mechanic it's no wonder you're truck is more reliable than a Honda!
