Default How many miles after low fuel signal?

I have an 05' FX4 and get about 11.5-12 mpg and was wondering how many miles I can go after the "Low Fuel" light comes on. Anybody know this or figured it out? P.s. I know running out of gas will ruin a fuel pump, and have no intentions of running out. I fill up when the lights comes on. I'm just wondering.

my lariat has the info center, low fuel comes on at 50 miles to empty. Why the craptacular mileage? I get 15.2mpg with a borla exhaust, volant intake, vmp tune, and a heavy right foot.

Only thing I can figure is 3 Cylinder misfires (plugs). I didn't figure it was too bad. Most 05's on here are getting about that. Buddy of mine with an 07' FX4 with 35s and a 6 inch lift gets 9 mpgs.

Sounds like have a badass looking truck is taking priority over money in the bank! Fix your ****, keep your money!

I agree, fix the problems! Last week I was in a hurry and was low on fuel. Got around 60 miles after the 50 to empty came on, didn't run out. Has a 30 gallon tank and took 28 to fill up.

Your misfire is possibly damaging your cats, and hurting your gas mileage.

Fix the misfire and your problems will abate. If you catch it quickly enough, you might avoid further problems.
