how many cans of Krylon to paint cowl

Rustoleum makes a specific product called "Trim and bumper" paint. It matches the original matte black that the plastic was before it faded. I used it and IIRC I only applied 4 coats, progressively getting heavier only spraying the last coat heavy enough to get 100% coverage. Doing it this way keeps you from building up too much material making it look painted. It lasted atleast 3 years before it looked faded again.
Another trick with any are sold paint is to sit the can out in the sun for about 30 min before you are ready to use it and shake well before and during use. Putting it in the sun will loosen the paint in the can helping it flow better and the heat will also increase the pressure inside the can making for a better spray pattern.
