how many cans of Krylon to paint cowl

Default how many cans of Krylon to paint cowl

I did search and found lots of info on how to paint the cowl but did not see how many cans of paint it will take. would one 12oz can be enough? thx

Depends on how many coats you plan on putting on it. 1-2 cans would be about the norm if you don't get out of control with it.

Never hurts to have that extra paint around. In case you need a touch up etc... then you already have that color.

Man i painted mine and with krylon fusion satin and it looks awesome, but putting it back together is a pain in the *** and getting the center to line up is another pain in the butt.

you only need 1 can.. put like 3 coats on mine and still have some left.. and it does last.

sweet. so rather than drop over $100 on a new cowl I just need Krylon?

correct. lots of pots/pictures of guys (and gals) that did the krylon thing and got excellent results. easy enough to do as well. Krylon Fusion is for plastic and will work perfectly. I am going with the satin black vs gloss black.
