Lowering the rear requires the removal of a spring or the addition of a shackle (I am not accounting for blocks that may be installed from the factory) what that does is either reduces the load capacity (removing a spring) or places your axle closer to your bump stops (shackle) making for a rough ride on anything but the smallest of bumps. If it is a 2wd or FX2 as mentioned then add a 2" spacer in the front and if it does have blocks in the back remove them. You should get the look you want that way. (blocks do not change the load capacity or the distance between the bump stop and axle)

The pic above with the wood in the back has a 2" drop shackle and has not hit the bump stop even cruising over the train tracks with multiple loads. I would not remove a spring and look at the shackle option, or a spacer for the front.

My truck sits too, courtesy of camburg LT shackles and the spares and recovery gear in the bed.

I'm considering changing the rear spring shackle to one that is about 2 inches shorter. This will drop the rear and allow the truck to sit more lever without having to jack with the front suspension.
