I hope I an help you. Last year I rebuilt my 95 F150. I haven't had it Dyno'd yet but I guessing Im over 400 hp. To get even 12's in that truck your gonna have to rebuild the enigine. New rotater assembly, you may even have to bore her out to .030 over, bigger cam, new heads port and polished and modified with rocker arms and that work with the cam, a completely different intake manifold, CAI, Beef up the ignition, computer, custom chips, windage tray, electric fans, long tube headers, all new exhaust without cats, plus you have to make a truck that can handle the power so you'll need new suspenion and brakes other wise you'll just keep braking it. This is a hard project, I gave up on my ford I bypassed the computer and threw in a carb. Now the trick is making all these mods and parts work together. My most important advice is plan out everything you want done, down to the nuts and bolts before you purchase anything. If you get 1 bolt wrong the whole truck won't work. Make sure everything is compatable.

Did any of you guys modify or upgrade your suspension in any way? That seems like it may be another portion of this very long equation. If he wants to get his truck in the 10's, he's going to have to be able to translate that horsepower to the asphalt, much less keep it on the road. That would be on top of the already growing pile of parts!

thanks for all the info again, and motorhead thats what this thread is for, to help plan everything i want to do to the truck. I need to know what I need to get to plan when to get what piece and Ideally I will have a plan before I start putting in all the important stuff. I want to know what I need before I just start buying. I rather pay in parts to buff up the truck than pay for repair

go to google and look up spall electric fans. You can hook them up yourself, for gears go with alburn 4.10s and a alburn posi locker, For pulleys go to Troyer performance. And dont forget the cams at rpmoutlet.com, thas where you are gonna get your power besides the supercharger

Default lighten the load

Even when you add a bunch of performance items to the truck it still weighs a few tons! No matter how many ponies you have that's a heavy load to lug. I tried a few things but it still runs like a 2 legged dog.

If you have tens of thousands to spend, get a new Ford F-150 when the 5.0 or 6.2 liter engines come out. 400-450 HP should do you good and then you could mod it for more.
