How do you pull apart leaf springs?

first, take off the u-bolts
second, use a jack to raise the leaf spring and eventually it will separate from the axle
TIP: i used 2 jacks when i was putting on the leveling kit to my truck so that i didn't have to jack it up SO HIGH. i jacked up the leaf a little and had a separate jack under the axle to lower it until they separated. any questions shoot me a message
