How do you guys store stuff in your truck?
I have an 05 Supercrew and I like to have some storage space for things like bungee cords, rachet straps, basic tool set, etc. Since I have a 5.5 bed, I really don't want to take up space with a bed box. Where do you guys store this kind of stuff? Right now I just have it jammed under the rear seats.

IMO, the bed box is the best option. Keeps the dirty stuff out of the cab. I know what you mean w/ loosing bed space w/ a crossover box, though. W/ a crossover box and a 6.5' bed, I wish for an 8' bed sometimes. I have seen a narrower crossover box designed for the 5.5' beds. Here's another bed box option. Seems nice, although pricey:

I don't have all of that stuff.. Maybe I should though... I just have my tow hitch and tie down straps under the seat with the jack... That's it.. They make a little small tool box that mounts beside the tailgate.. You wouldn't loose any room with that.. I don't know how secure it is though...
^ ah look... Somebody responded same time I did... There it is up there....lol

I have one of those "trunk" organizers that fits in nicely behind the driver's seat on the floor.
Great for groceries, milk, etc.
In it I have,
collapsible traffic cones in it that i use when boat handling
umbrella
flashlight
fire extinguiser
paper towel roll and wet wipes (for dog puke)
other stuff
If needed I pull it out and put it in the bed

I have a tool box on mine and I keep all my nasty stuff in there and all my clean stuff under the seat, and still have stuff on the seat! Lol. But I love the look of a tool box on a truck. It makes it look more like a truck in my opinion. But ya know what they say about opinions ha!

I got an ARE cover and I have a bin or 2 in the back tied down with the stretching straps on the sides and I have my junk in those. (jack, air pump, truck cleaning stuff, jumper cables, towing straps, etc etc)

I was just thinking about this myself. Currently I have my straps and hitch in the cab under the back seat. I would like to rehome these to the bed, but I got a soft cover. My thoughts where to get a tool box and bolt it through the bed into the tool box and attach with wing nuts in case I ever wanted to take it out, then use a pad lock on the tool box.
That swing tool box looks neat, looks like it is $180 form amazon, not sure if it is $180 neat though.
