How do I change out dome and map lights

That's why I decided to do it.
Lol. It's hard to remember off the top of my head. I know I used Zener Diodes. I believe they're 12V. Used 2. One between the cargo and interior where it blocks the power from the reverse so the interior don't kick on with the reverse lights. Then the other between the cargo and the reverse where it blocks the power from the interior so the cargo comes on with interior but the reverse don't. It was a bit of a feat. We ran the reverse signal wire off of the fuse box under the dash on the passenger side through the floor channel then through the rear pillar to the cargo light. Works like a charm and definitely gave me and my dad a sense of accomplishment because neither of us have worked with diodes before.

I had thought about switching the
Cargo out for red LEDs since I have bed lights. But I like this better.

You're welcome. Eventually I plan to do amber LEDs under the truck that work with the turn signals, white bed lights, a tailgate led bar, white puddle lights under the doors, then color changing in the floorboards. But that's a ways in advance

So just to clarify, to put LED bulbs in the dome/map/cargo etc. in my truck, its just a simple bulb replacement? i dont have to do any wiring tasks at all right?

2 map lights (194 Bulb)
1 dome light (42mm Festoon Bulb) - Some trucks have 3 bulbs, just take a look first.
2 Cargo lights (194 Bulb)
2 License plate lights (194 Bulb) Edit: Probably smart to use a different one than the map/cargo bulbs, the LP protector housing is pretty small, so don't want to use the same size and have it NOT FIT. That's the good thing about buying from a vendor here on the forum, they deal with nothing but F150's all-day/every-day, so they'll know exactly what you need. 'nickpatton_189' was a huge help, very knowledgeable, offers a warranty, and the lowest price I found, besides eBay, ha)
2 Reverse lights (3156 Bulb)
Wham, BAM!!!!!

Yes. Just plug-and-play. I think there are some expensive/super crazy "bright" ones that might require adding diodes/resistors, but most people just do the simple bulb replacements. I just did that this week. Took longer to decide where to order them than it took to replace the bulbs.
