How do I change out dome and map lights
Im wanting to replace my map and dome lights with leds. The wiring part I know how or can figure it out. Can anyone tell me how to get the lights apart so i can swap the bulbs?

Grab the gray part and pull. If you post a picture of your interior I can describe better. Oh I've also changed them out in mine. They make some direct replacements so you wouldn't have to wire anything if you want to go that route. That's what I did.

Like everyone says, they just pull down. But it's not THAT simple, or there wouldn't be 30 threads started asking the same question. And I'm sure the people who are saying "Dude just pull it down, wow it's common sense" had no clue how to do it until someone showed them or they read about it. My overhead 'console' is attached by 4 clips. 2 at the front, and 2 at the back. I use a screwdriver or golf tee to wedge inbetween the plastic and your carpeted ceiling, then pull down.. I would start at the front, those clips/guide pins seem to come off very easily and don't make the loud "about-to-break-plastic" sound like the back clips do. Once you get the front part down, you'll see how it comes down and just slightly pull down and the back 2 clips will come off. It will just hang by the wires, very simple!!! Just takes one time, then you'll see how easy it is... Dome light is basically same concept, 3 or 4 little clips that un-do with you pulling on them. The back sounds like it's going to snap the plastic, but it's not. Just use your fingers and pry, and the clear plastic housing will drop in your hands or fly across your truck.
Edit:There should be no wiring needed. Just replacement LED bulbs. Front map lights are bulb size 194 each, and the dome light is a 42mm Festoon.

Cool.. Do you have 3 dome light bulbs, or just 1? (just curious) - I just installed all of my LED replacement bulbs last night.. Couldn't be happier!!! The difference is like night and day.. Literally!!
