Routing your vent tubes won't do crap to prevent water from getting in the differentials, they help a little bit but not all. Water will still leak though your seals. To properly do it you have to pressurize your diffs with a certain amount of air pressure. It's like 2 Barr or something.
I drain and refill everytime I go out and still no water in years. Hence move the "breather / vent" to a higher point ...

^ exactly. The first responder was correct. Do whatever you want, it's your wallet you'll be emptying! And make sure you have a buddy to haul you back/out. All the vehcles we watch galloping through the rocks and rivers have high maintenance requirements. Look at OGTerror's truck. He's spent a LOT on beefing it up and it still gets caught out somtimes.
