Have you cleaned the throttle body? If it is very dirty it could cause a rough idle. My was smoothed out a lot after I cleaned it. Here is a link showing how easy it is to do. It takes about 20 minutes.

As far as coils I have been using Accels for about a year now without any issues. They run about $215 for the set.

The throttle body and MAF sensor are clean. And I have fresh plugs but didn't replace boots because they looked new. But yesterday I put new boots and springs in. I used dielectric grease as well. Now I got a P0358 and my AC quit working. I will inspect the #4 cylinder coil after work today. More thoughts? I am also getting a code for a malfunction from the cam position sensors. It has fresh phasers, chains, etc.

I read this but not a whole lot there.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Maybe just bite the bullet and replace all coils? I have no problem doing that but I am sick of throwing money at nothing. I am trying to avoid the dealership though.

I had the same problem and brought my truck to the local dealership. They replaced a spark plug on cylinder 3. The result, still a no go. I gave up on them after the third visit and invested in a Bluetooth obd2 reader and Car Gauge Pro for Android. I selected the generic mode, mode three I think, turns out it was cylinder three misfiring. Moved the coil pack to cylinder 1, now cylinder one was misfiring. Replaced the coil pack, problem solved.

Sometimes it does pay to invest in the tools. For me $20 on the scanner, $5 for the application, wasted 400 at the dealer I would have saved me $375 and two weeks time.

I unplugged the coil and plugged it back in. The AC is working again.

Which scanner did you buy?
Was your trucks CEL on? Mine is not tripping a CEL. I have an Actron scanner that can read live data and pending codes but it shows nothing now that I reset it.
