How can I tell if my wheel bearing is bad
Hey guys I have wheel shake starting at about 50 mph I have changed ball joints and tie rod ends. It makes a little bit of a clunk over numbs too. I have jacked it up and tried shaking it. It doesn't budge , and it only makes a little noise when I spin it

If it makes a grinding noise you prob got a bad actuator if your 4wd if it hums goin down the road a little and if makes like metal and metal type sound your wheel bearing is shot.. Easy fix though

It's probably your hub/wheel bearing assembly. Just buy some new ones. That's what I've ordered for my truck. It makes a slight grinding noise at low speeds when the steering wheel is cranked at full lock and vibrates the steering wheel a bit on the highway going 50mph+.
It's a very simple job.
Good luck

It makes a little bit of a sound when I spin the wheel, not super loud but it does sound metallic though. I can't hear it going down the road because of the mt's. If it were the actuator could I put it in 4 wheel and it would stop shaking?

If it's an actuator you'll be able to spin the tire and the cv axle won't move but it's likely a hub

if you have mud tires on, the front hubs will be hard to hear, if shakes at 50 mph get your wheel balance checked out first, it is not uncommon to have a mud tire go out of balance over time or any tire for that matter

if it sounds like you still have mud tires on then i would say the hubs, if it is gone then get the balance on the mud tires redone, there are a few tires on the market that are know to have a consist balance problems google your tire and see if they had any issues with balancing continuously
