im actually about to purchase my first f-150 and i want to know, just how built are the 5.4's? i want to know if its ok to supercharge a stock engine. are they forged, are they the same as the harley's? im just wondering if i should build an engine. any help would be greatly appreciated.

A technician from Rad rides of Troy said these 5.4s in STOCK form respond very well to forced induction. I plan on it in the future with my stock 5.4.

we have a stock 2006 5.4 and it gives when you want it

the only thing is are you going to use it for pulling stuff if not go with a 4.6L for a bit of gas milage
