About time someone asks. I would really like to do this with my truck. My question is rain and water....does it cause any issue with this..I don't really understand hood scoops...I have a shaker on my Mustang and still don't understand why rain doesn't bother it...

Haha thanks RowdyAg! Here are some pics of my setup although they aren't the best ever.
As for water it is not a problem. The hood according to the manufacturer has "provisions built into the hood to prevent the intake of water". Idk how that works but, when you see the air box in person you can easily see how the air box will definitely prevent the intake of water. In order for water to be taken in, it would have to be sucked through the hood, down through the air filter, then straight up and back down through the throttle body.
It's almost like the trap in your sink.

That looks really good, but do all the hoods have the air routed directly to the throttle body because I have a k&n cold air filter and it goes off to the side not directly in the center like how yours is?

No some of them go off to the side for CAI kits like yours but I got this one because of it's air box setup.
