Default horse power

hey guys just wondering what stock engine horse power of a 2005 5.4 has??? ive been hearing 300hp stock but not sure is this true??

5.4 L V82004-2008300 hp (224 kW)365 lb·ft (495 N·m) got this from wikipedia but dont know if i believe it. this is at the engine stock??

Yes.. Those are correct specs (at the crank). Unfortunately, our trucks tend to only manage to get about 205hp to the wheels. Not sure of the torque figure but I know that number is reletively disappointing as well. There are some things you can do (ie: tuner, CAI, exhaust) that can usually get you about 40 of those lost ponies back.

Yep, 300hp, the '09's are rated at 320hp for the 5.4. Still not enough to defeat John Force!

yea i have cai and cat back system and superchip programmer. just wondering what else there is out there for a decent price under $500 to add some more power.
