Wow. Gotta admit... I read the title of this thread and had to look... thinking I was in for a good laugh. But this tonneau actually looks pretty clean for a home made job! Good work. The only suggestion I'd have for anyone thinking about doing this is to upgrade to a higher quality, more stable plywood such as 3/4" MDO (medium density overlay). It's very smooth and made to take paint or any other adhesive covering and is better suited for outdoor applications. Great job though!

Yeah wish I could have painted that Lowes sells it wrapped like that where j live during hunting seasgo so far I have about 40 in it with all of the L brackets and the Osborne will ha e about 50 in it once I get hinges and going to the junk yard and get some hydros for the hinged door at the end

now that i am at a computer instead of my phone i can put up some more pics and i will do a small write up in the next few days weather is kinda crappy right now so i cant really finish the little things i need to









still trying to figure out a hinge that will look good for the back door section

cant really find a hinge that i think will look good on it can someone give me some suggestions

You could try screwing some nylon strap for your hinge on the underside. Give it a little slack so it will flip the full 180 degrees and lay flat on the top of the cover... 2 D rings with nylon strap should make a great hidden hinge. I would do at least 2 of them.

Or some barn hinges will work and keep it ridged unlike the nylon.
