I just finished installing mine in my 2012 F150 XLT. The install was a little tricky, but once I got the visor apart, everything fit together well. I do not have a lighted mirror in mine so I had to run wires through the tube, fortunately it was hollow.

My interior is grey but I went with the black module, paid about $35 on eBay.

About to start this mod, but I have a quick question. My module came with a black and a white wire, which is positive and which is ground? I would have assumed white to be neutral or ground and black would be the hot wire, but I'm pretty sure I read on here that white was positive and black was ground. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Anyone tried this with a visor rod that is closed in the visor end? I'm trying to figure out what to do about that.

....nvm
I just untucked more of the cloth and started cutting some of the visor plastic away to drill out the plastic cap/stopper/bumper that they put on the end of the tube.

Thanks to you, JetPilot2, and this link: http://www.escape-city.com/viewtopic...st=0&sk=t&sd=a I finished this mod today and love it. I HAD to have this mod. My other cars had it and I wasn't about to carry three garage/gate openers around. Not difficult at all. Thanks again!

Default Clip removal

I know this is late for most, but as I was just doing this mod on a 2011 F150, if you separate the plastic part of the visor on the end you are working with a screwdriver you can remove the plastic clip on that end making it much easier to pull the cloth down alot further. The clip is just sandwiched inside the plastic portions of the visor...

This is where I am stumped on the homelink mod. Can you provide any pics or point me to a post that has more details on getting the plastic visor stop removed???

Sorry, havent been online much lately. I dont have any good pics but I have a couple so that you can see the actual clip. I used a flat head screwdriver just to pry the visor apart near the clip, then it will just slip out. It is just sandwiched in there.
