did you disconnect your battery prior to doing this ? your engine has a re- learn process that it needs to do now that the EGR works correctly

I did not disconnect the battery before doing it. I have disconnected the battery since to no avail.
Would the egr have any effect on the engine at start up?

I had a high idle at start. Then I got a code "intake manifold runner stuck open". Cleared it and it came back over and over. Then I seafoamed through the brake booster, and the code never came back and the idle returned to normal. Just a thought.
