Thanks, but does it the same regardless if stereo is on or off. Sounds more like its coming from outside and not thru speakers

Yes it was cold out when it happened. Was coming from the right front of the truck. Wish I could recall exactly what it was, but it was fixed under warranty and they told me it was a vacuum line.

Aaaahhhh the old high pitch whistle when cold fun times. I have a 2005 that I bought in February 2008 and have dealt with this wonderful noise ever since. If you guys do some research you'll find a ton of threads on this here. There is much controversy on the subject but it boils down to the bearings inside your alternator. Some people have had to replace their alternator twice before getting rid of the noise. The only thing I can think of is the way the alternator was manufactured but that's a guess. Mine seems to have gotten worse with age. If below zero out at 70 mph the noise does not go away it continues until I drop below around 66 mph. Good luck.
