Default high pitch noise at highway speed

i just brought my new to me truck home yesterday and on the way home the truck would start making a very high pitch squeel at highway speed anybody encounter this ?

otherwise i love the truck just not the size of the gas tank.

almost sounds like the same problem i have. happens during load and at higher rpms? and goes away as soon as you let off the gas? i've heard people say it might be shot bearings in the tensioner pulley. have you solved the problem since your post?

Mine does it on the highway also. a high frequency pitch due to cutting through the air. If I could find out exactly what was doing it I would do something about it. I thought maybe it was the antenna??

I just bump up the tunes to drown it out. It is irritating though.

i have the black grill thats divided into 3 middle sections and two sections on the side. why? could that be some sort of cause for the noise?

ive got a billet roush grille and thats what it comes form on my truck on highway speeds, i didnt have the noise before the grille was installed thats why i asked

I too have the Roush grille, and I do not experience any noise from it. Drove the truck a year before installing it, and it did not make any noise before or after.

What about your tires? Could they be causing the noise?

well i know its not my tires, i think its my grill maybe not, it doesnt really concern me much, i dont panic over every little thing lol

I put a bug shield on my truck and it started to wistle at highway speeds.
