I see alot of guys are running the Magnaflow 94106 cats. There 2.5" inlet/outlet. They will make your exhaust louder.

absolutely no point, ford already stocks our trucks with high flow cats, really just a waste of money if you upgrade before you need them replaced

Now I know I dont have an 04-08, but if I replaced my cats (89 F-150 4x4, 4.9L) with hi-flows would it make a difference?

im sure it did, yours were most likely clogged. they definitely dont last forever.

from what ive read the hi-flow cats are really nothing more than re-badged (sometimes bigger) universal cats.

i have an 07, when i talked to troyer about hi flow cats he said it was a complete waste of money. he said the cats in our trucks are the same as the ones that were in the lightnings. and if they could flow well enough for a supercharged 5.4, they could handle our n/a motors easily. hi flow cats are just for sound on our trucks, no hp gain
