Default High besms out

Hi, i have an 07 f150 xlt 5.4. My high beams won't work. When I flip them on my lights go out. The parking lights stay on. The light for the high beams on the dash does not come on. And also if I have the fog lights on and try to turn on the high beams the fog lights stay on and the regular lights shut off. Anyone got any ideas as to what could cause this?

Do you hear a click? Check fuses and relays?

Yes there is a click coming from the fuse box on the passenger side. I pulled the relay and put a new one in and it still didn't fix the problem

Do you have HID's? If not, next suggestion is have you checked for power getting to the headlight socket in the high beam section of the socket?

Just for fun, have you switched bulbs to see if all are like that? Go to an auto part store and buy the cheapest bulb you can just to make sure. The high beams are on a different filament than the low beams so you could lose one without the other.

Just to rule out the fact that both are out and maybe you haven't noticed it...

I haven't tried it. But either way shouldn't the light on the dash come on and dog lights shut off?

Or pull your headlight bulbs and see if the filament is broke..

I'll try that. But even if the bulbs are bad shouldn't that dash light still come on indicating the brights are on?

I have a similar situation. 2008 4.6L.

Low beams works, but when I push the MFS forward the low beams turn off and no high beams. When I pull the MFS toward me (flash to pass) the low beams turn off. My dash light indicator is also out.

I've pulled and swaped fuses and relays with no luck. I'm thinking it may be the MFS itself? Have you tried to checked voltage readings at the high beam fuse? That's what I plan to do next
