HIDS or LED headlights+fogs

That in the stock housings or aftermarket?
Looks good really brightens everything up. Got a link or a specific brand you used? Got a quote from the guy that sells the GTR stuff around here and just for the headlights it was 175-200. And they were on backorder

Projectors are always the best solution. LED bulbs are ok, they work better than HID's in buckets at least. As for fogs, definitely a NO on the HIDs. They scatter the light even worse, if they haven't already melted the housing....
As for LED Fogs, why not go with something actually road legal?
Rigid DOT Fogs

Yes in the stock housing. In the one pic, the white truck is about 30-40 yards in front of me. The brand is genssi. I just looked em up on amazon, looks like the price fell to $90 after the holidays(of course) haha. But Like I said, longevity I can't vouch for, but they do seem very well made, and put out nice clean light. Since early december when i installed them, i dont have a bad thing to say and i will use them over hid's from here on out....that is if they hold up. I'm planning on putting a conversion kit in my fogs as well because the hid's down there are kinda blah....just been spending extra cash on other things lately. Hope this helps

First don't ever talk about putting HIDs in stock housing on this forum. It will start a war. LOL ok calm down people because I know that just got someone mad on here.
I have LED bulbs in the fogs. Not lights but the LED BULB. It has light not as much as I would light but it ok I guess. I broke my factory bulb with when I went in to a puddle.

I'm not trying to add fuel to the fire here, but I can see how HID's in stock housings could cause problems with oncoming traffic. That being said, most HID high/lows for these trucks do not have a high beam setting, they merely flip up and down for high or low beams, where halogen has two separate filaments. I personally have 8000K HID's in my stock headlight housings, and never get flashed. The light is slightly spattered, but I would never go to a projector housing, as most of the aftermarket housings are of very poor construction and collect moisture. Newer stock F-150's come with projector housings and HID's depending on model, and are of similar color temperature as the ones I have on my truck and THEY ARE BRIGHT!!! Personally I feel that the people with the extreme color temperatures, such as purple, yellow, and blue cause more problems on the road than the whiter color, but it's all personal preference. I live in a very rural area, have hit three deer in the last two years, and would have hit many more if not for my HID's, as they reflect light from much farther distance than halogen headlights and it is much easier to see them from farther off. Like I said, not trying to add fuel to the fire, but just my 0.02 cents.
