Default HID trouble.. help?

got my HIDS they said they were lo beams only and thats fine because theyre brighter than my high beams anyway. so i wired them up and turned my lights on, driver side comes on,the passenger side doesnt.. checked my wires all is good, so i flipped the highbeam switch just to check myself and make sure they werent backwards, and some regular halogens came on... whatever i have headlights. so i swapped the bulbs to make sure it wasnt a bad bulb and the passenger side still didnt come on. but the driver side did which tells me bulbs are ok. now what about the ballast? could that be defective? or does the ballast power the halogens too? if it does then i think i have a wiring issue but it doesnt make sense if i do. everything in my mind points to the ballast on the passneger side.

by the way i got them from xentec and theyre the "slim ballast" if that makes a difference

I have had similar issue myself! If you have a halogen high beam and hid low beam kit the halogen high beams does not require a working ballast to power on! I would suggest taking the bulb that's not working and hook it onto the side that is! If it works you got a bad ballast that was my issue! Biggest thing is if you bought a cheap kit like I did it's possible to have a non working ballast out of the box, I had to ask for a new one and they sent me one free of charge of course! Any questions let me know!

Also I have the exact same ballast that you do! Chances are you have the same issue I did!

I did to they work fine now! But I did get a bad ballast out of the box. But it happens just let them know your issue and it shouldn't be a problem! Let me know if I can further help !
