Default HID question

I was looking at getting some HID's for my truck since i didnt even have it for 2 weeks and i already hit a deer. anyhow i was looking at the h13 6000k bulbs but why is the price difference so diff between this kit http://www.xtremehids.com/product_in...roducts_id=817 and this kit http://www.planethid.com/h13-hid-ki13.html. are they the same quality, i dont know much about them so any input is great and if anyone knows anything better let me know

I don't see a difference. I would say spend less money. They are both selectable bulb types and temps.

I saw that too but I figured maybe it was either a typo or they are using smaller ballasts. One to run the highs and one to run the lows. That would not make sense though.

i did alot of searching and the way i understand it is that you can still use your oem headlight housing but its a little more scattered than if you went with projectors.. is there any kits that people would recomend

Not really. If you go with aftermarket projector headlights, it will help alot to concentrate and properly dispurse the light. The only way to get OEM looking HID's is to do a retrofit. This will entail getting projector headlight housings and gutting them and installing an OEM interal swap from something like a TSX, FX35/45, etc. Alot of time and money but WELL worth the hassle.

from what i have seen, the oem lights work OK, just aim them real low. it's not the hassle to retrofit projectors and the aftermarket projectors are ugly as sin IMO

I agree. If I could find a decent set of projector lights, I would have them by now. Its just like aftermarket HU's... Its just a contest between manufacturers to see who can add the most obnoxious lights in the most odd places.

you will love them and want to install them in every vehicle u own. i am pissed right now cause one of my blbs burnt out for my hids and im waiting on the replacement bulb to get here. the hids in a stock housing work really good especially if you have the hid fog lights.
