Yeah I was skeptical of that because of the price, thanks for getting back with me.

I know they were not OEM, but they were not SPEC-D either and they haven't leaked one bit and its been almost a year. Wish I knew the brand so I could help you out, I believe they were around $300 a set. If your trying to save money just bake your OEM and paint the insides...I believe there was a thread on this somewhere before.
Yeah I'll stay away from SPEC-D. My current headlights have a little condensation around the top plus I still want to have lights while I'm in the middle of the retrofit so I wanted to just get a fresh set then sell my old ones when done. Looks like I thought... you get what you pay for.

Not sure if you use ebay, but these headlights are $78 with free shipping. I've used them in 2 retrofit projects and love them. Can't beat the price. Mine have held up for over a year with no condensation problems. I had the SPEC-D ones and had to return them due to condensation issues.

Thanks, do you have any pics of them on your truck?

Truck looks good rtcoop. For $74, I might just go with those. I was thinking about leaving the shrouds chrome but I kinda like them black like yours. Is that a shroud around your parking light too?

Thanks. I did put a shroud around the parking light on one set. I think it looks better with it on there. My shrouds are painted the same gray color as the rims and bottom color on my truck. I'm about to start a third set because I want an all black set, including the shrouds, with no halos.

Funny thing is, if you strip the chrome off of the shrouds that come from the retrofit source they are glossy black and actually look pretty good. I would probably paint them anyway, but you might could get away without painting them if you went all black. I used purple power to strip the chrome off mine. Just let the shrouds sit in it for a little bit and the chrome just falls off. No sanding or anything else needed.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I guess it's time to head to TRS and spend some money

Come to think of it. I stripped the black paint off the light housings and they were glossy black plastic as well. Good luck with the retrofit. I look forward to seeing some pics when you finally get started.
