Default Hi! New here, my 1st post with a couple of ?s

Hi everybody.
I bought a 95 f150 flareside because we had a couple of bad ice storms this winter and with the slope on my driveway my car couldn't get out.

The truck is decent, its a 5.0, 5 speed manual I put tires and shocks on it and some other odds and ends to get it halfway correct and so far I'm happy with it.

Since its no longer winter I have yet to pop the thing into 4wd and wanted to know (since I don't know when it was in 4x last) if there was anything I should do first.

I read here that running it for a day or so with the hubs locked was a good idea to get things lubed up. Also, I guess the 4x shifter is pulled down to engage the 4x.

There is no book with the truck and I can't find one online, so I joined here, did some searching and wrote this post. Thanks for any advice!

Nice truck, but you probably want the Pre-97 forum. >>> https://www.f150forum.com/f10/

This would do better in the 9th gen sub forum than the 11th gen. Welcome to the site though.

Grab a Chilton's or Hayne's manual from your local parts store. You should be able to download the 96 (closest I could find) owners manual here: https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp .

Thanks, yeah I noticed I posted in the wrong place, sorry about that. I got the repair manual for it, but I couldn't find the 95 owners manual either. Thanks>
