That is great if you want something custom, but if you are looking for a daily driver, it would be much easier to put in an engine that originally came in the truck.

it would be alot of time and effort but think it wouldnt die forever!!! i would have a custom truck and we could just have it carburated and thatd limit the computer **** ugh talk about bull **** when you have an electric throttle its gone to far but i guess its all because of gas mileage but man oh man ford would make a killing if they brought back that engine fuel injected and up graded wow id buy one asap and talk about pissing off the parts ppl when i have an 04 4.6 and they give me a throttle posisioning sensor that doesnt fit i take it back and turns out theres two 4.6 makes and i get the crappy one oh well i plan to custom the engine and up it the most i can eventually so it dont even matter and when ppl put 350's in everything they shouldnt be in i laugh because they have to much time on there hands and to much money to spend

I totally agree that anything is possible, and that swaps have been done for years. However, an engine swap was usually done to increase performance, not take a couple of steps backward...
But hey, if you have the spare time, the engine, and the truck, do what makes you happy.
