Got em from Uneeksupply on Ebay. Lot of members either recommended them or Global. Purchased 8 for 114.95 with free shipping.
Bad news is that it didn't fix the problem. Still have the bog down problem. I've had the cats checked and they checked ok, so I'm at a loss. Might be injectors, but I think I'm going to hold off on doing anything until something pops up. It's intermittent so I'll just live with it for awhile..

Okay so, I had dropped the truck off last week for the rear end clutch pack replacement. Picked the truck up on Fri last week, and the bogging down problem is fixed(maybe). When they disconnected the battery, whatever was causing it to be sluggish below 2k rpm, is now gone.

So now I am, obviously, looking at something computer/electronically controlled. I would think if it was the COP's, the problem would still be there regardless of the battery disconnect....

Ideas?

I've had the same thing happen to me and come to find out the little sensor behind my battery that locks in my front hubs for 4WD was bad and my hubs were locked in and I didn't know it. It was like pulling a load in a low gear until I got up to about 2500 rpm it ran fine. My 4WD light never came on or anything. Needless to say I had to buy a new sensor and a mighty expensive transfer case. Lol we live and we learn.

Did it feel like it would fall flat on it's face before 2k rpm? I can hear the engine wanting to go...it feels like driving through a deep water puddle.

I hope it's not the transfer case. I was told by my dad that now when he makes a left turn, it sounds like the tire is rubbing on the fender.

what sucks is I am getting all this info described from someone who is not mechanically inclined. The last time I took into the dealership they spent 8 hours troubleshooting before they found the problem. I do not want another bill like that again.

I am dealing with similar issues today. Truck (03 f150 5.4l 4x4) was struggling between 40-50mph for over a month now. Felt slippage during shifting, unnecessary shifting, loss of power, vibration. But none of it too serious. I drove 90+ miles a day for over a month under this condition. I took it into the shop a month ago, but they couldn't find any problems. This morning it finally became undrivable. Lots of vibration, loss of power, seemed as though certain gears would work better than others, but still only about 50% power at best. Limped into firestone on my way to work. Took all day for the diagnosis (check engine never came on). Turns out my #5 cylinder spark plug/coil was out. Then this morning, my computer stopped communicating with one half of the engine, so all 4 cyclinders on that side became faulty. New spark plugs, ignition coil, computer, and labor - estimated cost $1200-1300. Better than a new transmission (which I was certain was the problem), but I've yet to pick it up from the shop and confirm the problem is fixed. I don't necessarily like having this kind of work done at firestone, but didn't have much choice without getting truck towed.

My '04 5.4l just went in for all kinds of service- plugs, cam phasers, throttle body cleaning, fly wheel replacement, starter replacement and abs module.

I get it back and from about 800-2000 rpm the truck feels like it's pulling something, bogging down, etc. I step in the gas and you can hear the engine trying to go but it won't...then about 2000+ rpm it runs like a champ. Took it into the dealership, they hooked up the computer and checked everything, including "mode 6" and could not find anything. So they reprogrammed the pcm and cleaned the maf...problem still there. I took it home because it was going to get expensive throwing parts at it until it fixes it.

Does anyone have any ideas what this might be??????????

maf sensor hands down!

They pulled that out, cleaned it and tested it. Said it was good....I'm not sure how they test it though...??
