I just bought a 2006 f-150 with the 5.4. When i go to pass somebody or come out of a corner and the transmission is shifting it seems to hesitate for a second then takes off. Was just wondering if anybody has had that problem. Thanks

No vibration. I work for John Deere and we are always having troubles with payloads in computers and having to update them. It just seems like it might be a programming issue. Not sure though. It's only got 27000 miles on it

I have a '06 5.4 and mine does the same thing. It's not normal and I believe it's .4 of an hour at the dealer to program it back to normal.
I haven't had time to do it yet though.

I have an 07 with the same thing. It's not bad but annoying. I had my mechanic look it up last week for a service bulletin but we didn't come up with anything. Keep me posted if anyone finds something.

I have the same issue and have been told by several different people thats it's due to the drive by wire system . I had my ecm reflashed and seem to help but it;s still noticable.
