help wit speakers
I have a 06 and when i bought it the front speaker and tweeter on the driver side wasn't playing so i replaced it today and it still isn't playing. I've done everything i can think of to fix it. Thought maybe i had a bad new speaker so i hooked both up and nether one played but they played on passenger side. does anyone have any suggestions
Just a thought, I have an '04 and my amp for my front speakers ties into the factory harness behind the radio. I just used the factory speaker wire running to my doors to power the speakers until one day the left side quit playing. Turns out the factory harness in the door went faulty, at least as far as the speakers were concerned. I ran a new wire from the speakers to the head unit and it works fine now.
Well if your pulling the old wire out y don't you just tie the new wire to the end of the old wire and then when you pull the old wire out the new wire will run with it Idk if that's possible but that's what I would do

I removed the door panel and then removed the speaker. I used a piece of a metal coat hanger to fish through the cab above the emergency brake, through the rubber grommet/tube and into the door to pull the new speaker wire through. I then run it under the dash up to the head unit. I left the factory speaker wire in place, no need to remove it, just leave it disconnected and hook your new wire to your speaker and to your head unit. If that doesn't resolve your issue then you may have a bad output on your head unit. A short run of wire from the radio to the speaker would verify this. just hold the speaker in your hand after connecting it to the radio to see if it plays. If all is well, run your new wire.
I got the wire ran . when i was going thru the door i saw where the factory wire was cut . guess the door had rubbed it over time until it cut threw.Cut thanks fellas i got it playing and it sounds great.
