Default Help with wheel and tire selection - Post pics please!

Hey guys. This is my first thread and Im well aware of the fact that I am a noob so be gentle.

Just bought a 2006 Lariat Screw 4x4. I need a little help with picking out some wheels/tires. I pretty much know what I want it to look like but I am not sure how to go about achieving that look. I have a Daystar 2" leveling kit ready to go on when I get my wheels and tires. Here is kinda what I am going for:

1. Chrome, Polished, or silver powdercoat.
2. 20" rim
3. 35" tire. Pretty set on BFG All Terrain.
4. Nice offset. I would like the tire to stick out past the wheel well about an inch or so.
5. Little or no rubbing.
6. Agressive but classy.

Just from studying other setups on this forum, i think that if I want to get a 35" tire with little to no rubbing I am probably going to have to go with an 8.5" wide wheel. Let me know if I am wrong.

I have been looking at the Eagle Alloy 178's and I love them. I have seen a few trucks on here that have those in 18's and I love that look but I would love to see some of them in 20's on a truck.

Any pics or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

1. is just preference. i love polished because if they ever get curbed, they can be fixed, but chrome is the easiest to keep clean. silver powder wheels are outta date IMO
2. backspacing is crucial to make a 35" tire fit on an aftermarket rim.
3. 285/65/20 is the tire you would want them, they ain't cheap, usually around 350 a tire
4. i you want a nice stance, stick to a 33's/34's , that will pose rubbing issues.
5. agressive tires are nice, but sidewall lugs causing more rubbing concerns.

Thanks ATOM. I really apreciate all the pointers. Do you think if I go with the BFG All-Terrains that I will have any sidewall lugs like that? I like those because for one they look good, and also I have heard that they wear well and dont make too much noise.

you will be fine with those, they measure out to a 35x11 tire. they are quiet IMO and wear well, had many sets in the past.

Thanks man. Oh. Do you know of anybody on here or elsewhere who does have the 20" Eagle Alloy Series 178s? I would like to see a pic of them on.

BTW, your truck is BA.

True. True. Had that experience before with my last car. Took it in for new tires and some idiot rolled a rim/tire across the garage and after slamming into the door, it came to a nice scraping stop, face down on the concrete. I would have made him replace it but there were none to be found. I was not a happy camper.

You have any suggestions? I really like the Helo Maxx 6 too but they dont make it in a 20 for our lug pattern.
