Changing oil in the truck and giving my sway bar system bushings a look over. Replaced sway bar and end link bushings last month. Just noticed that sway bar end link bushing spin freely on both sided of the sway bar end. I torqued them to the recommended value (26 lb/ft as I recall) when installed. Should they be this loose? Full weight on suspension. Thanks.
Edit: Nut at top of link is very tight, but bushings and washers both spin freely.

The nut is tightening all the way to the ends of the threads. That why the nut is tight, but bushings and washers still spin. It can't tighten any more. Zero pressure on the bushings. This can't be right...can it?

Are those Mevotech? If so they are total junk.....Either buy Motorcraft, Moog or I have the AC Delco with grease zerks. They should not spin freely after the nit is tight.

They're Raybestos.

Okay, the blue threw me off a little. My AC Delco doesn't budge at all.

Just sucks. Threw $75 down the crapper on these. They were tight when installed less than 2000 miles ago. I guess I could add a few washers and try to tighten it up.

Where did you buy them? Do they not have a warranty? Let me look, I may have some of those cupped washers laying around.

Got them from Amazon. Not sure about a warranty, but I'll check.
Edit: Can't return them. Guess I should have checked them sooner.
