From my understanding you can keep the leveling kit IF you set the 5100's at the 0 setting. If you plan on using them for lift though, you will have to remove the level.

Can you not just get a longer shock and spring? Would that even work?

If you leave your leveling kit installed and install 5100's set to zero...it will stay the same.

so if you wanted to install the shocks and use the lift and removed the leveling kit would you have to have an alignment done or would everything stay the same?

I would get it re-aligned after the removal of your leveling spacer...you have to disconnect some of you suspension to remove it.
