HELP! rotor is stuck on!

Thats right, the whole piece comes right off, the rotor is the entire piece and slides right off the studs.....beat that thing and if it wont come then heat it up, use indirect heat to heat it up, you do not want to melt anything by getting it too hot!!!! them things are a PAIN sometimes....hit it hard all the way around in a circle, you should notice rust dropping from it as you hit it, keep hitting it until you see it moving and then work it off with a long screw driver (used prying on it)

I looked at your pic. That's the rear and that means there is a ebrake inside that sucker look on the back side of the backing plate you should see a rubber plug remove it and inside there should be the adjuster for the ebrake using a flat screwdriver spin it to back the e brake pads off the inside of the rotor and you should be a little closer to removing. Check your pm

Are the broken studs flared at all? That could be the issue. Sometimes they will bend out before they break off. Maybe they have the rotor wedged on. Try heating up the broken studs and pounding them through the rotor.

the studs are just snapped off before they could bend and the plug is gone on the back but i will continue to try and turn it to losen it more i might have to try the heat

The parking brake is prob holding the rotor on. often times a ridge forms on the rotor and the parking brake needs to be relaxed to get the rotor off. do not continue to just heat and beat on the rotor, it will damage the rotor and the parking brake shoes. turn the little dial in the back until it frees up.

I just put new rotors on two weeks ago. Had to hit the rears pretty hard with a large hammer to get them free. I was replacing mine so I didn't care of they got damaged.
