Default Help on replacing Exhaust Manifold

Hi guys, after a while i have been dealing with a cracked exhaust manifold.
Dealer offered to help but was too cheap to replace the manifold and lied that he did. He did a cheap weld, by running his fingers above the crack and using some sorta patch and welded that piece. Worked for awhile but you could hear it slightly. Now it is even louder as the cheap weld isn't working well no more.

Could someone please advise in detail and describe a how to replace the passenger side exhaust manifold? I am willing to take on this challenge myself, it is too expensive to replace it with someone. A ford dealership quoted me 2500, a private dealer quoted 1200, another smaller shop offered 800.

I searched online, and the manifold costs around $250. And i heard that the bolts cost around 25 each. Not sure how much the gasket would cost. If anyone has done this himself, please advise in detail. I am sure a lot of people have this problem too. And am wondering what else for tools should i use and what else to buy etc etc. thank you sir

Feel your pain, trust me this sucked the biggest pecker in the world. It was so gay. Sorry I'm not helping you but I replaced the right manifold on mine back in March and it cost me an arm and a leg. But good luck to you, hope it goes better then mine.

Hi, what is the difference if I get the headers then?
Costs more and harder to install? I'm trying to limit costs, got a bunch I need done to the truck, I'd like to tackle this on my own and hopefully post it online so people could do it themselves too while learning with me. Thanks

for $200 more you can get a set of stainless shorty's and do both sides. Just thought I would throw that out there for you. good luck with whatever you choose.

my guess then would be to replace with aftermarket LT headers and do a write up on that. guessing would be cheaper as well.

ORMAN Part # 674694 {#3L3Z9430DA} Hardware: 2 Studs, 2 Nuts; Gaskets: 1 Manifold

pretty cheap though - $64

but i do know it is hard to replace as i may need to lift the truck quite a bit and remove some components to get at the old manifold. any tips will be appreciated guys, thanks
