sounds like a moaning/ low pitch squeak noise when making a turn. sometimes i hear some grinding. its a 2004 super cab 4x2.

I just had the same problem and it was my rear that was shot. Now there's one good thing here you have a two wheels drive so you don't have to worry about matching a front rear, the bad thing is that ford used the 04 rears for one year then in 05 they changed to a different rear. but what you could do is drive it till it goes out or start looking for a junk yard rear, from a 05 or newer.
