Post HELP!! my windows won't roll down!

my windows won't roll down at all. I have replaced the fuses but still nothing. I also did notice that when I jump into my truck the door ajar sound or the reading lamps don't come on. Also when I shut off my truck my radio still plays even without the keys in and the door wide open. I need help in finding the door switch that turns all these on and off.

Everything but the window sounds like the door switch showing closed all the time. But if that were true the windows should also work all the time. I think you have two separate problems. The window problem could be a shot regulator and everything else I would start by checking the door switches.

Not a clue. You'd have to find the wiring diagrams for the switches and use a ohm meter to see if they are working right.

sounds like a bad master window switch panel on the drivers door....if im not mistaken the drivers door distributes the power for the window and locks to the other doors

I am encountering the same problem right now. Already replaced the sensor in the door latch on the drivers door. Did not fix it. Checked all my fuses, they were good. On to the master window switch I guess.

I hate to play Jesus and resurrect old posts, but my old F150, now my sons, is having this issue. It's a 2004 and the windows won't go up or down. I checked fuse 401 and it's fine. I searched the forum and found this post.

Did replacing the "master window switch panel" fix the issue?

You most likely have a broken wire or 2 in the black boot that goes from the cab to the door.

Re-read your post - .. OK we'll look at the boot!

I'm assuming this is in the drivers door under the master window switch?

He just got back from a trip and we'll investigate further in the morning, but now he has 3 windows all the way down.... Thanks for your help!
