Help Me "Pimp My Ride"?
#21
I had an STX that I did 2.5" on... If I had to over again, I would've just done 2". The front sat almost a half inch higher that the back despite a 3" difference between front and rear at stock heights. Then anytime you had a little bit of weight it was way noticeable. Go with 2, I think you'll be happy. Ran 285/70/17 tires just fine. If you go any bigger than that, you'll likely need to regear.
I'm assuming you have the 4.6L? If you already said so, I apologize as I was skimming through.

You can go with a 2" level and a 285/70 OR 33x12.50. Either way you'll be good. Our stock wheels have a +44 offset. If you want the wheels to stick out a bit, the more negative you go, the more they'll stick out. A 0 offset can be pretty agressive. A -12 offset will stick out 2-2.5 inches from the well.
You can add a programer. I have an edge that I bought and converted to a gryphon. Made a WORLD of difference.

I'm gonna start with the 2" leveling. That seems to be the consensus here. Then we'll go from there.
And I already know this has been asked a thousand times on this forum and I've read some but for my particular truck is there a better brand I should buy to level it with?
