Default Help Me "Pimp My Ride"?

I stumbled across this forum while doing some research on a 2000 F150 that I have. Well from there I went looking around and found a thread where others were posting pics of their trucks and many if not all look awesome.

Well I bought my 07 in 07 and I've just been itching to get a new one. However, after seeing what you guys have accomplished with yours and the fact that mine is paid for, I think I may have decided to just keep mine and let you guys help me make it look better, and feel new again.

It has less than 45,000 miles so I need to get my money out of it.

So here are some pics. All suggestions are welcome of course and greatly appreciated.

Now the truck is dirty, has pollen all over it, and I took these pics in the rain. With that said.....

What are your preferences for ride height? Up or down? Personally I think the f150s look killer lifted, as well as lowered. I personally am planning on lowering my truck as it's cheaper on the wallet and only 2wd.

Definitely raised. Instead of buying a 4x4 I just want it to look like one. haha.

You can get a leveling kit. Not sure what lift kits are out there for a 2wd as I haven't looked.

You might be surprised what a good detail will do, of course that would be better done after all this pollen goes away.

It looks really good despite the dirt. Probably throw a level on it. Are there any bells and whistles you wish you had?

Definitely a level and larger tires. For some reason it never even crossed my mind to do any modifications to it until I came across this board. Yes it looks very good cleaned up, just laziness and I've expanded my business so I haven't cleaned it lately.

I don't know what kind of bell and whistles there are. I know I'm excited about leveling it. Hell, after seeing trucks posted here I'm excited about it again. I've been wanting to sell it for the past year or so.

Should I go with a 2" or 2.5" level? Remember it's a 2wd (if that matters). Then I want the largest size tires without causing any problems. I don't want to have to trim and I don't want to do any damage to the truck. So I want the best without worrying about doing something to damage the truck.

I don't know much about tires and sizes; I have a 2011 STX and really like the stock wheels. When I was looking at new ones, everything I picked resembled them so it would have been silly to spend the money.

If you're stuck on big lift / big tires I'd say go for it, but if you're flexible and just want new wheels, a lot of forum members sell OEM Wheels and Tires; saw a set for $500. CL also can have a plethora of parts.

I bought the STX so I could add features I wanted and for a lot less than buying an XLT. Plus I don't like chrome.

Back up camera, stereo, LED's - some simple upgrades and could be pretty inexpensive.

First thing, get rid of the pin stripes. My truck is same color and had same stripes. Then, get a level, some nicer wheels/tires, mirrors and a good detail will make a world of difference!
