hello i need an advice.... i'm about to replace lash adjusters on my 2004 f150 lariat. with 145k and 5.4 3v engine. bought them at citymotor in dallas and they gave me (5L1Z-6500-AA) LASH ADJUSTERS,, but my mechanic says that 2004 5.4 3v needs 3L3Z-6500-ba. so i went and try to change them and the store guy says that he is pretty sure they give me the correct ones and there is no refundson lifters...... soo my question is . am i stuck with those lifters and need to buy another set.. or any one knows if they fit on a 2004.... we did all measurements and they are the same but a groove on rod..thanks

I have an 04 5.4 3v.

Ordered cam follower and rockers from eBay, based on this add from oemselect.

Now someone tells me that the cam followers are not right and are for 05-09 and the correct followers are 3L3Z 6500-BA while this set that I ordered has 5L1Z 6500-A..

The question is this..
Its obvious that I ordered what was correct based on the ad, however , if the cam followers are wrong, as I was told, will they work anyways?

differences between 3L3Z 6500-BA and 5L1Z 6500-A ? (I saw the picture posted showing undercut one 05, and chamfer on 04 )

I did not.
I saw the 04 through 09, got all excited like a schoolboy about the price and ordered them.

I'm going to hope they will ship me correct ones then and correct the 04 through 09 on the advertisement.
My question about why they will not work is still valid though I think?
Isn't the undercut to fit the rockers that are included in the kit?

Nothing stopping you from submitting you Vin to confirm correct application specs then, or now. Do it now. You might be pleasantly surprised.
