Default Help with interior lights please!

Hey all, made an account on here just to ask this question because I've been bashing my head into a wall with it ever since I bought this truck (3 months ago). I not too long ago bought my 2007 F150 FX4 and one of the very few things that I noticed wrong with it was that the interior lights don't work at all. Front and back-seat ones (supercab) both don't come on no matter how many times I press the buttons. It looks like the previous owner tried to take off the actual light housing up front because it is not even close to flush on the passenger side. I have no way of asking him though, because I got this truck from a dealer who got it at an auction in Nebraska. I've checked fuses 12-21 just as a starting point and all of them were fine. I wanted to ask you guys first before I start pulling more fuses if I should keep checking or if somehow all of my interior light-bulbs just happen to be out at the same time. Thanks in advance!

Mine in my 08 didn't work either. Previous owner had hacked up the wiring under the headliner to wire in a DVD player. Spliced the wired back together and it worked. May not be your problem, but at least pull the covers and check the bulbs, or the connections with a voltmeter. If bulbs are good, or no 12v, pull housings and see if they're plugged in. The front housing not sitting flush is suspicious.

Yeah that was the first thing I tried with it. Probably should have stated that in the original posting, whoops!

That's what I'm probably gonna end up doing. Hopefully it's just bulbs and I'm beating my head against the wall for nothing!

Hi there,
I have a 2006 Lariat Supercrew. My front and rear interior lights, along with my bed lights, have been intermittent since I bought the truck a year ago. I finally found what's causing the problem. It's the gauge cluster. If you pull off the paneling around the speedometer you'll see a circuit board. My lights come on and off when I pull lightly on the upper right corner of that board. Only thing I can do is replace the gauge cluster.
