okay, try the fuel filter.
oh sorry i just re read your post, was the old filter clogged or hard to blow through? maybe there was still some gunk in the tank and it clogged this one up again.

The old fuel filter was practically new since they changed it when they put the new motor in. I changed it again right after the bad gas incident This motor only has about 2000 miles on it. I'm going to assume the mileage on the old motor would be about the same as when they replaced it, so it would have like 145000 or so miles on the old one. The story i got was the truck was not running so their mechanic shop suggested replacing it. If there was something put in the tank why would it have taken roughly 2000 miles before it presented a problem??

WHO put the motor in and is there a warranty? If so call and get their input and go from there.

UPDATE--- Today I totally started over from square one looking for my problem. What I did discover is that my injectors are NOT firing. They do get a constant 12 volts but no pulsing voltage. I ohm tested the wires between the injector plugs and the PCM. All wiring passes the Ohm Test. So now I'm leaning towards a possible PCM issue.
Could having a malfunctioning Cam Positioning Sensor for 3 weeks caused a circuit to burn out in the PCM?
Is there something else I should check that would cause the injectors to not fire?
Is there something that feeds into the PCM that tells its to fire the injectors?

I have had the same symptoms you are describing. I have fought it and have been changing parts for a year now. It would start sometimes and other times It would just turn over and not start. But it would always run on either. I changed several FPDM's, 2 fuel pumps, both Cam sensors, plugs and coils a couple times, fuel filter, battery, checked all relays and fuses and power in and out of each of them. I finally changed the fuel rail pressure sensor and it started and ran great. Now the other day it was hard to start and it died and wouldn't start. All I did was pull the fuel pump fuse out and check it and put same fuse back in and now for the last couple days it starts right up and runs great. I have no idea if it is fixed. I am going to replace crankshaft sensor and see if that works. My advice is to replace fuel rail pressure sensor because that really did make a difference in mine. I think i might be chasing multiple problems.
