Default HELP!!!!! I'm confussed and frustrated

First let me apologize for the length of my post. A few months ago I purchased a 2004 F-150 Super Crew FX4 from a local bank. They put $7200.00 into the truck before I bought it from them for 10K. Anyway it seemed like a great truck except for having a faulty O2 sensor. A couple weeks ago while I was out of town I filled up at an out of the way back roadish gas station. A few miles later my truck started acting like it was starving for fuel. I got the truck home finally with less than a quarter tank of that gas still in the tank. I added some fuel treatment and topped off with premium gas. The problem seemed to go away until I got another MIL. This time the codes indicated a malfunctioning cam positioning sensor and intake control actuator. Being that the intake control actuator had been replaced just prior to me buying the truck I put it out of my mind. So 3 days ago I finally got time to change the cam positioning sensor. I head to town pick up a new sensor and wiring harness. As I am heading home the truck starts to act like it is running out of gas. It died but I was able to crank it again and drive a couple of blocks. Finally it died and would not restart. Called a buddy and towed it to the house. I changed the cam positioning sensor but the truck still would not crank. I’m at a mental loss with this truck now. I have no idea what to do next.

So here is a list of what I have done so far:

New FPDM
Checked fuel pressure – 38psi key on, 45-48psi when turning engine over
Checked all fuses and relays pertaining to fuel issue
Sprayed a little starting fluid into air intake and truck start and runs for a second then dies
Fuel filter was replaced right after getting the tank of bad gas

Next on my list is to check voltage to the injectors.

Any advise is greatly appreciated…..

Let me do some looking to see if I can help you out. Do you know if they changed out the cam phasers with that 7200 ?

The cam phasers are new also. It has a new crate motor with about 200 miles on it. I tested the voltage going to injectors and they are all getting good voltage according to my test light.

sorry...that sound be 2000 miles not 200... either way I wouldn't think its would be any internal issues.

Not starting. It will turn over and the battery has good voltage. It will crank if you spray starter fluid in the intake while turning the motor over.

I have also tested the voltage on the injector and done an ohm test on the injectors. all with normal regs..

maybe something in your drive by wire system,

these trucks if you hold the accelerator to the floor while cranking it will not start, so maybe play with the throttle while cranking or try to check the actuator. it may be something in that system... or if the new motor actually had new timing components..

The new motor has all new internal parts including all timing gears, chains, cam phasers, etc.. If i spray starter fluid into the air intake then turn the ignition over it will crank and run for a few seconds..
