That is for diesel trucks from what I remember reading. Edge had a "generic" cable it used back in the day, it was used for adding additional sensors for the diesel guys.

Why did mine come with it then? It's brand new from PHP.

That's just the cable all Edge products come from what I can tell. Probably cheaper to just manufacture 1 cable.
