Default Help! Cylinder 2 Misfire

I have a 04 ford f150 with a 4.6l and alot of miles. Today i cleaned the throttle body and put it back together and it is running rough. I checked my edge evo and it gave ma a P0302 cylinder # 2 misfire. I checked all the wires and conn. and it looks good...I wasn't even close to that area...any ideas? Did the coil pak give out?

Swap the coil packs 1 & 2 clear the DTC in your Edge .. See if the DTC changes to P0301 if it does the coil is bad .. If no change swap the plug

If you just cleaned the throttle body and it started missing after that, chances are, the cleaner fouled the spark plug.

What's your mileage on your current set of plugs? Might be time to change them while you're troubleshooting coils.

Hopefully .. people are removing the throttle body to clean it vice washing all that crap into the intake manifold. doing that is not good and you never get the bottom of the TB cleaned.

So here's the deal, I swapped the #1 and #2 Coilpack and it didn't make a difference, still shook, so it must be the plug. So I changed the left side, looking at the engine. Took it out fer a drive, about a block out it started to shake again, so I headed home. I was going about 55 and it started to smooth out alittle and went around again and got on it and it smoothed out again. It is now running fine with no codes...funny huh? I don't trust it yet but I'm going with it, maybe it just needed the carbon to be burned out of it. I don't know but will keep you posted.....
