Anyone know the accuracy of the VIN decoder on here? Ran both VIN's, both came back with the wrong trim package. Just a coincidence or??

Test drive both trucks. And personally I would be going with the modded truck, only if you plan on putting money into the truck for mods anyways. WHY? Because if you plan on putting that money into the truck anyways just get the truck thats modded and take the risk that you may have to replace worn parts... your gonna be spending the money either way lol.. at least this way your getting good aftermarkt parts and saving yourself the time and headache of installing them yourself.

That was my thought and only reserve with the FX4 as well. The guy "claims" that he never went off roading and took very good care of the truck. He keeps telling me that the test drive will tell the tale, which is true, it will. Anything specific you would check for when I test drive?

For sure! The suspension on the FX4 is at least $4500 in parts alone. I just don't want to buy a truck that someone mobbed through the desert every weekend, ya know?
Yeah i hear ya. But you would think if it was abused. It wouldnt be in that good of condition

^^^^^... not only that the guy put money into the good suspension components ... so its not like he bought some cheap ebay leveling kit and beat the crap out of it lol.

In my opinion, the modded fx4 will be easier on the wallet for mods.... But you don't know how it was treated tho.

With the stock lariet. Gonna cost more to get mods, but you can make to look how YOU want it. And could be safer with condition. But just because its stock doesn't mean it can't be mistreated.

If it was me, id do the research on both of them. Check carfax. See if owners got records on them. And if all checked out on the fx4 I'd go with that and maybe take off some mods that i don't like and sell em for stuff I did want. But also I love my fx4!! Lol. Hope that helps..

It's like you read my mind man. I do mod every vehicle I buy, and the FX4 had no shortcuts taken IMO. If it really is as clean as it looks, I'll probably drive it home.

Agreed! The way I see it, is the guy didn't cut corners. He spent good money on nice suspension. I don't think he would have beat the truck hard after he put all that work into it. And if he did, it would/will show.

Good plan! Not a fan of the Raptor wheels. Trying to make the truck look like something it isn't. Probably would swap them for some black Fuel Hostage wheels.
