'04 F150 5.4L. Squeal under hood when I lightly step on gas, best described as a chipmunk in agony, "Squeeeeeeeeee... squeeeeeeeeeeeee... squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" (three presses on gas there). If I'm on the gas hard, it does not do it. Immediately stops when I let off gas.

Thought it was a leak in my K&N intake, but it is not. Buddy said it might be fuel pump (second hand info he gained from someone else).

Anyone had similar tortured chipmunk? I could tear into it more, but figured I'd just ask you good people! Thanks,

had mine into dealer they replaced the 4X4 elctronic solenoid but it still did t when it was cold. it hasn't done it since the snow has gone.

I have the same problem with mine, I've replaced the idler pulley and tensioner pulley. Next is the AC clutch, I'll let you know if that fixes it.

if you take the belt off and start it does it still do it ???????
