when i first bought my truck in april it did the same exact thing, but i did notice my abs light would come on. Also i noticed when it was jerking or missing or doing whatever it did if i gave it enough gas to downshift it would stop immediately. Another thing was I found that it happened driving up inclines more times than not. I have no clue what it was but mine stopped doing it and hasnt done it in probably a month or longer (knock on wood)

What fuel additive do you guys recommend? There's a bunch out there.

I usually stick to Gumout or STP. Something you guys may want to try as well, is after each oil change, fill the take up with some 89 octane and add a fuel injector cleaner. Will help clean the inside of the motor. Ive noticed over the last couple time, it has helped smooth the idle out a little bit. This will work moreover if you use a low grade fuel all the time. When I do the 89 fill up, I will put shell in it. It may or may not have helped the idle that ive noticed, but to me, the truck seems to run that much better. Just a thing to consider.
